ARTIST STATEMENT

My collages are constructed from fragments of carefully chosen materials, forming abstract compositions alive with rich color, texture, depth, and radiance. Each piece resonates with energy, both through its individual components and the emotional movement created by the work as a whole.

I begin by deconstructing materials of personal significance or compelling character, stripping them of their ephemeral qualities to reveal something potentially eternal. My compositions serve as a translation of emotions into forms that express or contain them.

In the inherent struggle to find balance between self and the external world, my artwork becomes a space for connection—a realm where I make peace with my sources, other humans, history, the environment, the unknown, and ultimately myself. Through my materials and meditative techniques, I create order, manifest courage, and connect with nature while seeking deeper layers, direction, and truth.

I use collage to confront the past, build a bridge to my internal world, and ultimately evoke a dream of hope.
